HALDRUP´s Internal fair 2016

Traditionally each year in December people from all over the world come to Ilshofen, Germany, and there is just one reason: an
invitation from HALDRUP to its always popular annual internal fair.

For two days, the inner courtyard of the HALDRUP corporate building and various exhibition rooms are transformed to showrooms
featuring the complete HALDRUP product line.

Traditionally the company also uses the house exhibition as an opportunity to deliver a short review of the past year. Bernd
Kettemann, managing director, and Anna Sprinzl, Sales Manager, gave their guests an overview of recent developments to
HALDRUP plot combines, seeders, harvesting technology and laboratory equipment. 2016 delivered a variety of new, innovative
developments as well as many design improvements to present products.

A brand-new product in the HALDRUP line is the PFS-12, a pneumatic fertilizer spreader. Completely new is our seed treating
machine, the Mini Beizer BCT-50. It enables researchers to treat even very small quantities of seed. HALDRUP also introduced a
plot combine cutting unit especially for soy with the very low cutting height of 1 inch. A new development for the HALDRUP C-85
plot combine is an extra large grain tank with a capacity of 70 bushels or 2400 liters. The HALDRUP Twin Shaker CTS-95 double
weighing unit has also been improved. The changes result in reduced harvesting times and significant productivity increases.

Bernd Kettemann also provided an update about the daughter company HALDRUP USA which was founded in 2014. Important
milestones were achieved in 2016: construction of the new company building in Ossian, Indiana, was finished and at the same
time a fifteen-person team started its work. The HALDRUP USA staff is closely connected with their colleagues at the headquarters
located in Ilshofen, Germany. Incoming orders are speaking a significant and pleasing language: the company foundation is now
realized successfully!

Internal fair visitors were also provided with the latest relevant news about the HALDRUP sales team. Recently the company has
completed the ability to communicate with its clients in every common world language. Overcoming language barriers was a matter
of urgency, because, after all, HALDRUP does business on six different continents!

Once a year HALDRUP opens its doors to its clients and professional customers. Experience has shown that for many visitors
factory tours are very interesting. During the internal fair, HALDRUP plot combine driver trainings and free HarvestManager and
SeedManager workshops are also very popular and well attended.

During this year’s house exhibition, HALDRUP customer Tech Services Inc., a US company, gave a presentation about its company
and how HALDRUP products have enhanced its business. Founded in 1989, the company has long-term experience in the field
research sector. TSI is harvesting hundreds of thousands of plots every year, and by using HALDRUP combines for their corn
harvesting, they gained a practical advantage in 2016. As Chelsea Mossburg explained, the easy handling was a big advantage as
was the great reliability and consistency in data. She also pointed to the excellent customer service the company has received from
the HALDRUP team. TSI currently operates 4 HALDRUP C-85 plot combines, 1 HALDRUP SNT-25 no-till drill, and 1 HALDRUP
SP-35 precision planter.

Geo-konzept is a HALDRUP supplier, and they provided the audience with information about their special software. Today, through
support of GPS systems and software developed by Geo-konzept, complete field planning can be done with a PC. Also, the software
can control planting seeds precisely to one centimeter at any desired position of the field. The use of an observation drone was
also demonstrated over the fields outside of the company building. The little flying unit can assess the emergence of the field from a
bird´s-eye perspective. Compared to conventional methods – human beings watching the emergence – the drone provides a much

Finally Polytec, a German company, spoke to visitors on the topic near infra-red spectrometry NIRS. Due to this analytical method
an assessment of the crop immediately on the field is possible. Together with HALDRUP HarvestManager software, all results are
documented very quickly and in a format which enables users to process these data.

HALDRUP was very happy about the positive response to this years´ house exhibition. The number of registrations was even larger
than it was in the recent years. Managing director Andreas Hessenthaler said: “Many of our guests didn´t hesitate to travel a long
way to join us again this year. We were very proud to be able to welcome numerous guests not only from Germany and all over
Europe. What we are particularly pleased about is that lots of visitors even came from the United States and Russia!”
